Information on Dams Office Furniture

Information has been disclosed, that another office furniture manufacturer within the UK has went into administration. Dams office furniture, based in Liverpool, but with distribution centres throughout the UK, closed last week. One of the UK’s largest office furniture companies, making office desks, office chairs, and home office furniture, closed due to the credit crunch. This year has seen many manufacturers close, or move the staff on to a 4 day week. Many have the view that next year, will see even more office furniture, and associated companies, closing. The import of furniture from China, and the manufacturing costs in the UK, has made many of them unable to compete with the cheaper imports.
The trend of imports we can only hope will change, allowing a better quality,UK office furniture products to again, gain a strong hold on the marketplace.
